Paint your ornaments & let the paint dry.Once thoroughly dried/baked, remove it from the oven & let cool.Bake your gingerbread house at 200✯ for 2-3 hours, flipping the cinnamon salt dough every hour.Carefully place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.Next, roll out your dough & use your Christmas cookie cutters to create the shapes for your ornaments & use a chopstick to create a hole at the top of the ornament.Knead for 15-30 seconds to create a workable dough.Next, add 3/4 cup water & mix together with a spoon, if the dough is still dry add a little more water one 1 teaspoon at a time.In a medium bowl mix 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of salt, & 3/4 cup cinnamon.If you are looking for a fun tradition, or for something your kids can make to give to their grandparents, this little (non-edible) DIY is both fun & will make your home smell amazing!
